On Top Of The World

We have now been at School for two weeks. During this time we have quite a bit of preparation for our 3 day, 2 night tramp through the Tararua Ranges.

We have learnt a lot of things already. Like:
- Thinking in advance about the type of footwear we need if we are tramping
- Making sure not to use up all of our water too early into our tramp
- Using a plastic fork to stir our food over a hot gas cooker is probably not the best idea
- Cheese will melt when we leave it in our bags
- Taking our hats off while packing up our tents will result in one of our hats being packed up inside the tent
- Taking raro into the bush is a very smart idea, just in case we get too cold we can add warm water to it and help warm ourselves up from the inside out
- Anything can be used to make a splint to steady a broken limb
- Knowing what to do in the bush if something were to go wrong
- Working together in cooperative groups are fun

Check out the selection of photographs from activities we have already done so far.
