Smith's Creek Tramp

What an exciting end to Term One! The Senior Syndicate headed into the Tararua Ranges for three days and two nights to put everything we had learnt this term into practice.

We excitedly left the top of the Kiwi Ranch carpark on the Wednesday and headed into the bush. Although some of us did find the walk a bit challenging, when we reached our camp site it  was all worth it. We got to pitch our tents and cook our dinner, all whilst being surrounded by our friends.

We had a fantastic time away which included river crossings, bush bashing, marshmallow toasting, river washing, eel catching, last card games galore, and hanging our with our friends.

When we emerged from the bush on the Friday, we were a little tired (and smelly) but impressed with what we had achieved.

Check out the pictures below of our amazing adventure - see if you can spot some of the funny photos we took and the great times we had.
